Another top pick is Slatina Beach, situated right in the heart of Opatija. As one of the most popular beaches in town, it can get quite crowded during peak summer months. However, its central location offers plenty of amenities, including beach bars, restaurants, and play areas for both kids and adults.

For families with young children, Tomaševac Beach is an excellent choice. This pebbled beach is located near a playground and various family-friendly facilities.

One of our favorite events is RetrOpatija, a nostalgic festival that transforms the town into a stage for vintage cars, retro fashion, and classic music performances. It’s like stepping back in time, and it’s an absolute must-see!

Another event we absolutely love is the Chocolate Festival. Every autumn, Opatija becomes a paradise for chocolate lovers, with master chocolatiers showcasing their finest creations.
